 "I am primarily a watercolorist. However, my work varies from the traditional. I use both wet in wet and the build of multiple glazes to achieve the look I am after. I paint mostly landscape and seascapes but also enjoy including wildlife and people as appropriate. I am not a photo realist although most of my locations are recognizable or at least reminiscent of a specific site. My goal is to capture my feelings about the place on my painting so that the viewer can share in the response. If they recognize the spot or it brings a pleasant memory, I have succeeded!" -- R. M.
